Last week, the Birling team took a deep dive into the world of horticulture with visits to Alpine Nurseries in Dural and Trees Impact in Lake Munmorah. These industry leaders are playing a vital role in shaping Birling’s landscape, with orders placed by our landscape architects, Taylor Brammer, for Stage 1 and 2.
Our visit wasn’t just about checking on the progress of our trees—it was about reinforcing the strong alignment between Cameron Brae Group (CBG) and these suppliers when it comes to quality, sustainability, and long-term vision.
Ross Clark, Director of Trees Impact, and Daniel Ewings from Alpine Nurseries guided us through the intricate process of growing trees fit for a masterplanned community. Their deep knowledge and passion for horticulture were undeniable—so much so that our Marketing Manager even joked that their use of scientific names sounded like something out of a Harry Potter spellbook!
But tree-growing is no magic trick—it’s a precise science. From seed to site, the journey of each tree is meticulously managed. As we head into winter, growth naturally slows, and both nurseries take special measures to ensure the trees remain strong and healthy. Controlled watering, strategic pruning, and careful monitoring of soil conditions all contribute to the success of these trees, ensuring that by the time they reach Birling, they are well-established and ready to thrive.
Much like CBG, Alpine Nurseries and Trees Impact focus on long-term quality, not quick fixes. Their commitment to sustainable growing practices aligns with our mission to create a lasting, green, and vibrant community at Birling. We’re proud to have partners who share our values and bring expertise that will shape the streets and parks of Birling for generations to come.
Stay tuned as we continue to bring Birling’s landscape to life!
